Experience becoming…
In the early days of my interest in photography I worried little about the quality or the composition of my imagery, focusing instead on the moment itself, attempting to catch, no matter how well or badly, the ephemeral – the music. I didn’t achieve the fame I wasn’t looking for, but Universal Music UK ended up liking a couple of my concert shots and using them in the booklet for VIBRATE: The Best of Rufus Wainwright, the acclaimed singer / songwriter’s 2014 release.
Mr. Vonnegut’s words are dear to me as they are true.
The memories of my concert experiences – the hassle and the expense of travel, the crowds, the exhaustion, the chaos of the pit – are still among some of the best memories I have.
